PUNSHON
James Freeman PUNSHON [1906 - 1991] was a twin to George Ernest. Jimmy was apprenticed as a wheelwright in South Shields, but during the depression, the work he found was as a boiler operator at the Power Station at Dunston.
His parents were John William PUNSHON [1867], a coal miner and Caroline Winsper FREEMAN[1867].
John William was the son of Sarah Isabella PUNSHON, but was raised by his grandparents, John PUNSHON [1826], a coal miner and his wife Ann SIMPSON [1832]. They lived in the Sheriff Hill area of Gateshead.
